The Secret to our DIY Success

Synopsis:
This panel is totally about DIY from artists/bands that are currently out there creating opportunities for their music career. The panel will discuss ways they got their tours, bigger shows, branding and merchandise success. Also tapping into out of the box thinking in building larger fanbases.

Damon St. Alborne - Stereotytans
The Philadelphia-based, comic book inspired, hard rock band, is taking Olympus and Earth by storm. These aren’t your ordinary rockers, however.  The Tytans describe their sound as “if Living Color, Fishbone and Radiohead had a three-way while Public Enemy watched and then birthed sweet, sweet musical babies with hints of soul, funk and metal mixed in for good measure.” Fans who experience crew’s elemental superpowers will be transformed through a truly unique musical experience.
Currently the band has had major success on the Comic-Con Circuit. The also just partnered with Round Guys Brewing and releasing their on beer "Bubble Wheat" - it will be available at The Grape Room during the Festival.
Mason Ingling - In the Presence of Wolves
In the Presence of Wolves is a Progressive Rock band based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. An idea that had been brewing in the minds of bassist Vini Stamato and guitarist Chris Capitanio since 2009, they wished to do something different from conventional rock and local music; they chose to challenge themselves musically and creatively in a way that is unique to the Philly scene. After a series of setbacks and side projects, the two reconvened and got to work on their music. They embraced the freedom of prog, where they were free to experiment without labels or expectations. Mason Ingling joined as drummer in 2012 followed by Jim Ellis on guitar in 2015 to solidify the current lineup. Now, they're making waves and unleashing their own brand of rock.

Drinking, fighting, stealing your girlfriends, wrestling, and more drinking… and that’s just in the first six minutes. Sounds like one hell of a fun night, right? The Riverside Odds will deliver to you Philadelphia speed punk rock n roll like a freight train fueled off cigarettes PBR and scotch whiskey.
Currently the band has just finished up a few tours this summer one with the UK's V8 Wankers and this years Warped Tour.

Up until now, Frank Viele has been something of a regional secret throughout New England. His quadruple-threat reputation as a singer, guitarist, songwriter and performer is unrivaled there, as recognized by the New England Music Awards for Album of the Year, Male Performer of the Year, and Live Act of The Year he has stashed somewhere in his Connecticut home.Truth be told, audiences around the country have begun taking notice as Viele plays in further-flung venues. Since his first album, Fall Your Way, dropped in 2015, he’s been called to open for Will Hoge, Blues Traveler, Howie Day,  Lee DeWyze, Zach Myers of Shinedown, The Marshall Tucker Band,   Foreigner, Gavin DeGraw, and Bob Marley's Wailers and in his somewhat wonder-struck words, “artists who have been on my personal playlists for years.”
