Since their onset in 2012 they’ve already played with music legends Black Thought (The Roots), Raekwon the Chef (Wu-tang), and Big Daddy Kane (Las Supper). Get on the Boat!!

 Kid Felix @6:00pm
http://www.kidfelix.com
www.facebook.com/kidfelix

After forming in May 2011, Kid Felix quickly began to make themselves known within the Philadelphia music scene. They released their first EP November 2011 called 'Head Above Water', and with its success they gained international exposure as the Grand Prize regional finalists of the 2012 Hard Rock Rising Global Battle of the Bands, as well as playing both Bamboozle and the Warped Tour in the summer of 2012. Kid Felix then went on to solidify there role in the music scene when they released their second EP, 'Young Luck' in October 2012. 'Young Luck' grabbed the attention of some very important figures in the music industry today, allowing them to play to huge crowds in venues such at the TLA, World Cafe, Susquehanna Bank Center, Electric Factory and more.

The Great Socio @5:00pm

Formed in 2010, The Great SOCIO is a four-piece Alternative/Groove/Rock band from the Philadelphia region. Their socio-sound is built of crushing bass/ drum rhythms, poetic lyrics and a wide array of custom synth tones. Their dedicated front-man dons a top hat - mustache combo like no other. His passion for entertaining and wooing every crowd parallels their biggest influences like The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Doors and Rage Against the Machine. With a growing reputation as one of the hardest working bands in the Philadelphia area, The Great SOCIO questions tradition and  Since the release of their 2nd EP, 'Modern Grip’ in April 2013, the band has sold and distributed over 2,000 CDs including exclusive samplers and singles. Since they began traveling they've given more than 160 live performances at venues through their region from NYC, Harrisburg, Baltimore, Ohio and the Carolinas. In the anticipation of Modern Grip, fans backed The Great SOCIO's Kickstarter campaign to a generous total which stretched over $8,000.

 Zymotic Flow @4:00pm

Zymotic Flow is one of the fastest rising bands on the Philly Scene. There music is best described as the blending of classic alternative with modern day indie rock music. They have recent performed at the TLA on South St and host a month open jam at the Legendary Dobbs.

Footwerk @3:00pm

Footwerk, a Washington, D.C. based, 6-piece pop fusion outfit, gives an intense, high-energy, head rocking and hot stepping experience to every audience they perform for. This Merrifield Records group is led vocally by the power duo of Melissa Moffett Jones singing from her heart and Kyle Higgs rapping instinctually from his gut.
Molding out their unique sound is Teddi Withers (keyboards), Eric Ri...vera (percussion), Fern Estrella (bass) and Josh Newmeyer (drums). Together they create a seemless blend of Rock rhythms under soulful Rap and R&B vocals. Footwerk mixes captivating dance beats with a wave of DC percussion which has forged something truly groundbreaking in the nation's capital. Footwerk's combination sound has made them wildly popular in an extremely diverse D.C. music scene always yearning for something new. Their regional success strongly suggests that they are ready to break out as they release a highly anticipated full length album in 2014.

The Quixote Project @2:00pm

We hail from the great state of New Jersey and are a neo-roots music outfit. From Rock to Rockabilly, Bluegrass to Blues we like to pull from traditional genres to blur the fine lines of modern music. VENUES & FESTIVALS: Philadelphia XTU 92.5 Anniversary show at Susquehanna Bank Arena, Escape to NY Festival, Camp Jam in the Pines, Dewey Beach Music Conference, NERFA, Millennium Music Conference, Liberty Music Festival, TLA (Theater of Living Arts), World Cafe Live (PA & DE), Legendary Dobbs, Arlene's Grocery, Tin Angel etc etc.

Modern Colour @1:00pm

 - "The White Stripes brought the blues into mainstream with their deconstructed stylings, The Black Keys continue this with their exceptional releases. Modern Colour keeps it simple and a little dirty (in a good way)."- Frank Friel- 100 Greatest Guitarist Page

While bursting onto the Philadelphia music scene as the city’s response to the deconstructed blues-rock pioneered by Jack White and The Black Keys, Modern Colour expanded their sound by experimenting with different genres and working with artists representative of each. Though the band is still a straightforward and in-your-face rock n’ roll group, a closer listen reveals layers of hip-hop, neo-so...ul, R&B, Americana, and funk influences hidden beneath the blues bars and driving drums.

Downtown Shimmy @12:00pm

From a city of rich musical heritage comes a new direction on old traditions. Philadelphia's The Downtown Shimmy grows out of the roots of American music and the offshoots that followed. With Ray Charles as an inspiration, they weave together threads of folk, blues, soul, gospel, R&B, funk, and rock into a crafted sound. It's delivered by a powerhouse quintet of piano, guitar, drums, bass, and harmonica who together build dynamics and melodic excitement into their grooves. The energy has become renowned on the national dance scene where the band is popular for fueling the dance floor. Even wallflowers can't help tapping their feet, because when the music moves, there's no sitting still.

April Mae and June Bugs @11:00am

Americana under the influence of jump blues, swing, & rockabilly..ba-ba-ba-BoooGIE with a dab of N'awlins for extra spice! High energy and deep vintage vibes!
The group was founded by April Iorio, lead vocalist and songwriter from the group South Saturn Delta. April and Dave have played regionally, toured Memphis, Mexico and were 2009 Emerging Artist finalists at the King Biscuit Blues Festival in Helena, Arkansas. Their original songs have enjoyed airplay nationally and internationally receiving CD reviews in France, Germany, Belgium and Norway.

Stolen Rhodes @ 7:20 PM

“The easiest way to describe Stolen Rhodes to someone who hasn’t heard them is to put them under the genre of classic rock. They could fit in with the Allman Brothers or Springsteen and have your dad, or even your grandfather, scratching his head wondering why he doesn’t remember these songs. It’s almost uncanny how a young band could capture the essence of a time period that precedes them by at least a generation, yet their other influences and experiences make them uniquely their own. They are, after all, anything but a copycat, tribute band.”

John The Conqueror @ 6:20 PM

Time To Go : This raw, bluesy old-school soul track is just one of many gems on Philadelphia trio self-titled debut album.
Brian Mansfield and Steve Jones / USA Today

Black Country? Blues? Deep Blues? Rock ‘n’ Roll? “The Good Life” is American music done with passion and care, drawing plenty from the past and gleaning just as much from the present. Whatever you call it, just make sure you have the windows down and stereo cranked. Deep fried and defiant, John The Conqueror demands you turn up and listen loud.
Black Grooves

 Sweet Leda @ 5:20 PM
http://sweetleda.com
www.facebook.com/sweetleda

Powered by Julie Cymek's sultry, commanding vocals and electrifying stage presence, "think Adele mixed with Mary J. Blige, with a certain South Of The Mason-Dixon Line ache that's all her own", Sweet Leda has earned a reputation as a "rising star," taking the diverse mid-Atlantic music scene by storm and becoming one of the most exciting and accomplished live acts around. With its rich blend of new school funk, soul, and pop, Sweet Leda's heartfelt original material has drawn comparisons to Joss Stone, Janis, Maroon 5, Edie Brickell, and even Led Zeppelin while garnering its very own stylistic label: "sexy smooth rock and groove".

Johnny Popcorn @4:20 PM

Vocalist and songwriter, Hezekiah, is no stranger to the music industry with 3 full-length solo albums as a hip-hop artist. Feeling like he was neglecting his Southern Funk/Rock upbringing passed down from his parents from Kentucky and North Carolina, he felt inspired for something new and exciting to develop—ultimately settling in on a new found passion.
Bass guitarist and all-around producer, ...
Tone Whitfield a.k.a. Grumpy Smurf, has produced numerous songs for Bilal, Meshell Ndegeocello, Zap Mama, and others. Contrast to Hezekiah’s hip-hop background, Grumpy Smurf has always been a rock purist with an open mind.
Today, JOHNNY POPCORN is a crow on a mission. An alter ego that was inspired by Hez and Tone, who would jokingly put down fake names on open mic lists. When the host called out JOHNNY POPCORN, the crowd would chuckle in amusement. “I think we have a name for a band,” says Tone Whitfield.
If it’s riff-heavy, rolls off the tongue and is more filling, then it’s Johnny Popcorn
.

 BAAM! @3:20 PM
www.BAAMBand.com
http://www.reverbnation.com/bamnyc
http://bamnewyork.bandcamp.com/

BAAM! is New York City’s premier Rock n’ Roll big band, bringing together six conservatory-trained jazz musicians and a self-taught singer/songwriter to create a distinctive and original sound. Rocking dance numbers, melodic love songs, epic rockers, and funky, jazz-infused grooves? You’ll find them all at one of BAAM!’s energetic—and wild—shows.

 Cold Roses @ 2:20 PM
http://www.coldroses.net/

Possessed by the honesty and raw energy of yesteryear's rock and roll, Philly's Cold Roses "sound like they're straight out of a Texas roadhouse with their old-style country rock/blues combo" (WXPN).
Cold Roses' distinctive blend of rock n' roll, soul, blues, punk, and americana delivered with genuine, thought-provoking lyrics and unique songwriting has made their sound a refreshing musical experience for a new generation. Whoever said rock and roll was dead must have just given up.
