Blue Food is funk for the 21st century. Formed in 2008 and naming themselves after the George Carlin routine about the absence of any blue food ("Don't say blueberries, 'cause you know they're purple."), the band—Odin Alvarez, drums; Michael Carolan, trumpet; Angel Eduardo, vocals; Jeremy Gorin, saxophone; Wilhelmus Sapanaro, bass; Miles Ungar, guitar; and Chris Winn, trombone—played their first s...how at Greenwich Village’s famous Bitter End in July of 2009, and has been flattening audiences in the New York City area ever since with their dynamic stage presence and unique sound, which is equal parts Led Zeppelin and Stevie Wonder.
In early 2011, after two years of performing live and writing material, the Blue Food headed into their guitarist’s home studio to independently record their full-length debut. The resulting album, entitled "Engines," is an ambitious collection of songs that blends the members’ various influences, from the classic rock and funk of the 1970s to modern pop, dance, and heavy metal. Officially released in August of 2012, “Engines” weaves seamlessly between the hard-hitting guitar riffage on songs like “Boogiemen,” the funky grooves on tracks like “Joker Face,” and the anthemic, catchy chorus of the album’s centerpiece, “Engine of the World.”
Armed with a new CD and determined to make their mark on the modern music scene, Blue Food is prepared to bring their powerful sound to the masses. Combining their contemporary edge with old school sensibilities and a raucous, in-your-face live presence, this band is bound blow minds, shake asses, and shatter eardrums worldwide.

9 Crown Monarch started rocking the Chester County area in 2002 at Kennett High School. Since then they have spread their music throughout the Tri-State area playing venues like The TLA, Kahunaville, GrapeStreet, Mojo 13, Mojo Main, The Note, The East End Cafe, McFaddens, and The Fire Philly. They have also been on 94 WYSP with Tommy Conwells Loud and Local, Couzin Ed's show, and are their song "I Lost" is now being featured on 93.3 WMMR Jaxon's Local Shots Podcast. 9CM spent the two years recording their second full length album, Sin of Silence, produced by Silvertide's Kevin Frank that was released in November of 2010.
Every once in awhile a band emerges from the underground metal scene mainly because of hard work and dedication into writing original compositions that don't fall into the norm. Well thats Beyond Dishonor and more... BD combines complex writing, devastating grooves, dual guitar attack and front man that is aggressive as hell. This one of the most explosive live bands I have seen in the metal world. DVT Entertainment is proud to be working with BD. They had a successful radio campaign in the fall with their previous release "Travestry" which peaked to #3 on the CMJ Metal Charts right behind Lamb of God. Biography
If you are not having fun, the crowd isn’t having fun—this sums up the philosophy of Beyond Dishonor. Comprised of five members with very disparate influences, styles and quirks, this stalwart of the resurgent New Jersey Metal scene combines all of those myriad differences between them and, somehow, creates music that is brutal and aggressive enough for the most hardcore of fans and yet groovy enough to be accessible to those on the fringe.
Formed in late 2006, Beyond Dishonor has represented one of the few success stories in a very challenging landscape. Much of their success stems from the overwhelming support and praise provided by the many nationally-recognized artists they have supported, including Unearth, Chimaira, August Burns Red, Attack Attack, All Shall Perish, As Blood Runs Black, Winds of Plague, Born of Osiris, The Absence, Carnifex, Suffocation, Emmure, Mushroomhead, Texas in July, Chimaira, This or the Apocalyspe and so many more.
Beyond Dishonor is an extremely hard-working band, playing 70+ shows a year. Their recent full-length, travesty., was a bold, conceptual step for the band. The music is wrapped around the lyrics of singer Reese Dunlap, who's literary, filmographic and intellectual obsessiveness pervades each song with hidden meanings, double entendre', and tongue-in-cheek jabs. It is their sense of humor, their unabashed desire to be serious without appearing pretentious and a high level of stage experience that has helped shape this 5 piece.
Currently they are recording their upcoming 2013 release "Generations" with Andreas Magnusson at Planet Red Studios (Oh Sleeper, Impending Doom, A Life Once Lost, Black Dahlia Murder, This or the Apocalypse).

Every now and then you get a band that comes through that suprises the hell out of you. Well that is what has happened with MURPH. Within three shows at Legendary Dobbs the band has progressed so far in their songs, performance and fanbase. The engery that is projected is powerful that is a miture of The Pixes, Dr. Dog, The Toadies and Weezer. They live up to those comparisons. It's all blood, sweat and tears during their performance.

The Last Minute Jam Band celebrates its return residency to South Street! Philly’s most
prestigious and longest-running jam session continues its legacy at The Legendary
Dobbs, 304 South Street, known as “the Hippest Street in town.”
The first two events featured R&B legend Bunny Sigler, new sensation Soraia, Johnny’s
Dance Band and American Dream with The Soul Survivors Charlie & Richie Ingui.
The events were emceed by Philadelphia’s legendary disc jockey Michael Tearson.
The Last Minute Jam started in June, 1986, at the Khyber Pass in Old City,
Philadelphia. In January, 1987, they moved to JC Dobbs on South Street for their weekly
Tuesday night residency from 1986 – 1996.
Creating a rich palette of sounds and textures, the Last Minute Jam Band shares a
collective penchant for improvisation, a commitment to song craft and a propensity
to cross genre boundaries, drawing from a range of traditions including rock, blues,
funk, jazz and even psychedelia. In addition, the Last Minute Jam Band is unified by the
nimble ears of their receptive listeners.
Members of the current Last Minute Jam Band are bandleader George Manney, Allen
James, Garry Lee, Rocco Notte and Bobby Michaels. Former members include Greg
Davis, Wally Smith and Michael Radcliffe. The atmosphere of these jam sessions rose
to legendary fame among the musical community and attracted such legendary artists
as the Robert Plant band, Ace Frehley (Kiss), Little Feat, Will Lee (of David Letterman’s
house bands), Psychedelic Furs, Joe Zawinul's band, Spencer Davis, Chris Squire (Yes),
I had the privledge in seeing Krissy Krissy the 1st time at the Dewey Beach Music Conference in Sept. 2012. From the first sound of her Soulful Pop vocals with well crafted songs was a standout through out her set, I knew there was something special about Krissy Krissy. I knew I had to bring her to Philly. Krissy Krissy debut at Dobbs in the Fall at Dobbs was even more impressive. Her show was 3 bars higher than DBMC and made the people in the audience just go WOW!!! She returns Saturday Jan 19th for the Sandy Relief Concert which all the proceeds go to MusicCares. This organization helps musicians in need and the storm devestaed much of the shore line in New Jersey and New York. I recommend coming out to she her performance you will not be dissapointed. Krissy Krissy Charted TOP 10 in 24 hours on I Heart Radio with her debut single “Dream” which landed a featured spot on MTV winning Freshman Pick of the week, & 200,000 video views in 48 hours with her VEVO debut!
When Krissy Krissy was a little girl, she would get behind the pulpit at church, hype up the crowd with a lot of “Come on everybody! Get your hands up!” in a voice soulful beyond her years, and belt out Fred Hammond or Kirk Franklin songs so hard that the veins in her head would bulge, her face would turn red, and the congregation wouldn’t know what hit them.
Not much has changed since then. When the 23-year-old pop/rock artist sings, that same guttural passion still shows on her face and her audience is still dumbstruck at this “little white girl with soul,” as she was so oft described. Sweet Leda had the opportunity to play the 2012 Dewey Beach Music Conference. With so many bands at DBMC it's hard to see evey band. I was at the bar grabbing some refreshments =) and I heard this incredible voice that cut through the noise of the crowd. I had to go see who this was, well it was Sweet Leda out of MD. I watched their entire set of what I would call soul blues rock that had everything on point from a kick ass band and the cultivating vocals of Julie Cymek. They made they debut at The Legendary Dobbs on Friday Jan 11th. They returned to perform the South Street Spring Festival on May 4th performing to hundreds of fans during the day and then doing an impromptu Midnight show at Dobbs later that night to a sold out crowd.
